Podcast clipping & repurposing

Podcast clipping service

You record the episode. We turn it into a month of clips that get watched, shared, and drive booked calls.

15 minutes. No pitch. We'll tell you straight if we can help.

A podcast clipping agency turns long recordings into short videos for discovery channels. A public clip-only provider reviewed on 5 September 2026 lists $1,000 a month for 20 finished clips, $2,000 for 50, and $3,000 for 90. A managed system costs more when it adds strategy, long-form production, publishing and pipeline tracking.

What a podcast clipping service does

A clipping service takes the episodes you already record and turns them into short vertical clips for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn. That covers finding the moments worth cutting, writing the hooks, editing, captioning, formatting each clip natively for its platform, and publishing on a schedule.

The editing is the easy part. The hard part is knowing which thirty seconds of a ninety-minute conversation will make a stranger stop scrolling. That judgment is the difference between a clipping service and a subscription editor, and it is where most cheap clipping falls apart.

Our clients are founders, investors, coaches, and educators who record a weekly show and want it working harder. The podcast stays your depth asset. Clips become your distribution. And because you approve every select before it goes out, outsourcing the work buys back your hours without handing a stranger your reputation.

How much does a podcast clipping agency cost?

There is no useful single average because buyers use the same label for different products. PromptPlay, a specialist clip provider, currently publishes $1,000 a month for 20 clips, $2,000 for 50 and $3,000 for 90. That is a clear reference for human-selected, branded clips. It is not a market-wide average and it does not include posting.

How to compare podcast clipping agencies

  • Ask for three recent clips from a show close to yours, then judge the hook, context, captions, and whether the cut makes one complete point.
  • Confirm who chooses the moment. A clip count does not tell you whether someone understands your buyers or only finds a loud sentence.
  • Separate clip delivery from posting, channel strategy, and attribution. Those are different jobs and should be named in the scope before you compare price.
Comparison of four podcast clipping buying models: software-assisted do it yourself, freelance editing, a clip-only specialist, and a managed podcast content system.
The same word, clipping, can mean a software export, an edited file or a managed distribution system. Compare ownership before comparing totals.

Ask one question before comparing quotes: who owns the decision about which moment is worth publishing? That choice has more effect on the result than captions or transitions.

From recording to published clips

  1. You record your episode the way you already do. No new workflow, no extra filming.
  2. We scan the full recording and pull the moments with clip potential: sharp claims, stories, numbers that reframe a problem.
  3. We write a hook for each clip, then cut, caption, and format it natively for every platform it goes on.
  4. You approve the selects. We publish, track, and review performance with you monthly, so each batch gets sharper than the last.

What a month of clipping looks like

Most episodes produce five to eight highlight clips and around fourteen shorts. A weekly show becomes content posted almost daily across four platforms, while your time cost stays exactly what it is today: record the episode, approve the selects. Volume is the baseline, not the goal. Six clips that stop the right people beat fourteen that stop nobody.

Use campaign links and booking-source data alongside what prospects tell you. Platform views, enquiries and booked calls are separate measures; some journeys remain unattributed.

Where this has worked

Robert Ta, an AI alignment founder, was recording strong conversations with almost no distribution. Clips from his podcast became his top of funnel, and he has tracked six figures in qualified B2B pipeline to leads who referenced his content directly.

A top AI educator on Maven.com brought us his long-form teaching and podcast recordings. The shorts we cut now drive over 30% of his YouTube traffic, and a new top-of-funnel format we built for him pulled 5x the reach of his previous posts.

Keep recording. We handle selection, editing and distribution, with your review before publication.

Sources and review date

Platform facts come from primary sources. Trueframe results are labelled separately from our planning judgment.

Most podcasts get posted once and forgotten

The best moments of your show are worth more than the show itself. Right now they're buried in a file.

Your best moments die inside a two-hour episode

Most listeners never reach minute 40. The one insight that would have travelled stays buried in a recording almost nobody finishes.

Clipping eats the time you don't have

Cutting, captioning, and posting is a part-time job. So it slips, then it stops, and each episode gets one upload and nothing else.

Generic clippers pick the wrong 30 seconds

Anyone can trim a video. Knowing which moment makes a stranger stop scrolling is the whole game, and most editors are guessing.

You can't tell if any of it works

Clips go out, the numbers move a little, and nobody can point to a single clip that led to a follower, a lead, or a booked call.

One podcast a week into a six-figure pipeline

Robert was recording strong conversations with almost no distribution. We turned each episode into a stream of clips and shorts built around his sharpest moments, scripted the hooks, and handled editing and publishing from start to finish. Podcast clips became his top of funnel.

“Benjamin was fantastic to work with on short-form content for The Primal Biology Show. He took my long-form podcast episodes and turned them into sharp, platform-native shorts for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, each one edited with a clear sense of what actually works on that specific platform rather than just resizing the same cut three ways. Common questions

How much does a podcast clipping agency cost?
One specialist provider reviewed in September 2026 publishes $1,000 a month for 20 clips, $2,000 for 50 and $3,000 for 90. Those packages cover human-selected, branded clips but leave posting with the client. A managed programme that adds content strategy, long-form production, publishing and revenue tracking will cost more. Compare what the provider owns, not only the price per clip.
What exactly do I get from each episode?
A batch of short clips and shorts pulled from the strongest moments, each cut, captioned, and formatted for the platform it's going on. You approve the selects and we publish. Most episodes produce five to eight highlight clips and around fourteen shorts.
How do you decide which moments to clip?
We study your audience and your best-performing content first, then pick the moments that stop a stranger mid-scroll: a sharp claim, a story, a number that reframes something. It's the same judgment that made our clients' clips outperform their long-form.
How much of my time does this take?
You record the podcast the way you already do and approve the selects. That's it. We handle scripting the hooks, editing, captions, publishing, and the monthly performance review.
Which platforms do you post to?
Usually YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn, matched to where your audience actually watches. We format each clip natively for its platform instead of reposting one export everywhere.
Do you only clip, or do you handle strategy too?
Both. Clipping without a plan is just noise. We build the format, write the hooks, and review performance every month so the clips keep getting sharper and stay tied to real outcomes.
Can you prove clips drive more than views?
We tag the calls to action so a follower, a lead, or a booked call can be traced back to the content that drove it. One founder we work with has tracked six figures in qualified pipeline from his content.
