VSL & sales video production

B2B VSL production

We research, script, shoot-direct and edit sales videos for landing pages and pre-call funnels. See the cost drivers, process and proof before you enquire.

15 minutes. No pitch. We'll tell you straight if we can help.

A B2B VSL is a sales argument delivered on video. Trueframe's recent founder-led projects have been roughly three to five minutes long and built for a landing page, event or pre-call flow. One recent Trueframe project paired a VSL with a product demo for US$4,000. That is a historical project example, not a current fixed price.

Direct answer: public full-service offers we reviewed in August 2026 start around US$2,999 to US$5,000. Scope differs sharply, so compare script length, filming, revisions, product animation, landing-page work and tracking before comparing prices.

What buyers mean when they say VSL

The term covers several different assets. A short outbound video, a landing-page sales video and a long direct-response presentation need different scripts, production plans and budgets. Trueframe mainly builds founder-led B2B sales videos for one-to-many landing pages, booked-call flows and product launches.

Trueframe's planning model: evidence enters the script, then the finished video is measured through the funnel.

When a VSL is worth producing

The strongest fit is an offer already sold through calls, demos or consultations. Repeated objections give the script real material. Existing proof gives the editor something credible to show. A defined CTA gives the team an outcome to track. If the offer, buyer and next step are still changing every week, production should wait until those decisions settle.

How much B2B VSL production costs

There is no clean market average because vendors use the same label for very different work. The table below records published offers we could verify on 20 August 2026. It is a comparison sample, not a pricing survey.

The biggest cost drivers are research depth, script length, founder or actor recording, on-site production, product UI animation, number of aspect ratios, revision rounds, landing-page work and analytics setup. Ask every provider to list these items so a lower quote does not hide missing work.

Trueframe's VSL production process

  1. Review sales calls, objections, offer details and available proof.
  2. Choose the funnel position, audience, single CTA and measurement plan.
  3. Write and approve the sales argument before recording starts.
  4. Plan the storyboard, product UI, proof frames and founder delivery.
  5. Direct the recording remotely or scope an on-site shoot where needed.
  6. Edit the founder footage, captions, product visuals, proof and CTA.
  7. Publish into the funnel and track watch depth through to qualified opportunity where the systems allow it.

How to measure a VSL

A player view is an early signal. The useful chain is player load, play rate, watch depth, CTA click, form or booking, qualified opportunity and revenue. Keep sourced and influenced pipeline separate. A video can help a deal without being the first tracked touch, and the page should not claim revenue the data cannot attribute.

What we can prove today: Trueframe delivered Everus' first VSL and a separate US$4,000 BuildBob VSL plus product-demo project. We do not publish a universal conversion lift or promise that every VSL will create booked calls.

Sources and review date

Platform facts come from primary sources. Trueframe results are labelled separately from our planning judgment.

Most VSLs are just a longer pitch

A real VSL does the selling before the call. Most founders' videos don't do any of it.

Every call starts from zero

Prospects book without knowing your story, your process, or why you're different. You spend the first ten minutes of every call re-explaining what a video could have already covered.

A talking head isn't a sales asset

Founders record themselves pitching straight to camera and call it a VSL. Without a structure built to move someone from skeptical to sold, it's just a longer ad. The actual selling still happens live, on the call.

Objections show up live instead of getting handled first

Price, timing, and 'will this work for me' surface mid-call because nothing pre-empted them. Your closer ends up fighting the same three objections, call after call.

Video agencies aren't built to sell

Most editors can make a video look good. Almost none of them understand a sales conversation well enough to script something that moves a stranger toward booking a call.

Case study · Aziz, Founder, Everus

Everus' first VSL, scripted, shot, and tied straight to the CTA

Aziz had never scripted a sales video before, never shot one, and had no clear way to connect a video to an actual call to action. We built his first VSL along with a run of shorter-form video content, handling the script, the shoot, and the CTA linkage end to end. He walked away knowing exactly how the pieces fit together.

We used Trueframe to create our first VSL and some shorter form video content. Before working with them, we didn't know how to script, how to shoot, or how to link video content to our CTAs. After working with them, we had figured all of that out. They're efficient, reasonably priced, and a hard working team.

A $4k VSL and product demo for a construction-tech founder

Alan needed a founder-led VSL plus a product demo for BuildBob. Trueframe scripted, shoot-directed and edited the package for US$4,000. We treat this as production and pricing proof because no attributed VSL conversion result has been published.

Perfect 5.0 rating across the board

Before working with Ben and True Frame, I was spinning my wheels. I was creating content without strategy. Ben and his team built me a system requiring minimal time from me while generating serious results. I've tracked over six figures in converted pipeline revenue from qualified leads who referenced my specific content as trust building and helpful.

What sets Ben apart is he actually tracks what matters. Not vanity metrics. We went through my entire content funnel together and he pinpointed exactly where leads were dropping off. Implemented his suggestions and saw a measurable lift in qualified inbound within weeks. Rare to find someone who thinks this systematically.

Common questions

What is a B2B VSL?
A B2B VSL is a one-to-many sales video placed on a landing page, product-launch page or booked-call flow. It explains the problem, offer, proof, objections and next step for a defined buyer. Trueframe's recent founder-led projects have been roughly three to five minutes long.
How is this different from a regular promo or brand video?
A brand video introduces the company and feeling. A product demo shows how the product works. A VSL carries a sales argument and ends with one trackable next step. Some projects combine a VSL and demo, but the jobs remain different.
Do you write the script, or do I have to?
Yes. We review the offer, sales-call objections and proof, then write the script for approval before recording. The approved script sets the storyboard and shoot plan.
What if I've never scripted or shot a sales video before?
Yes. Everus came to Trueframe for its first VSL. We handled the script, recording direction, edit and CTA planning. The founder's testimonial verifies the process experience, while no conversion result is claimed.
Do you handle objection handling in the script?
Yes. We use real sales-call objections where available. Price, timing, fit and trust questions can be answered in the script, provided the business has evidence for each answer.
Can you build a product demo or brand video too, not just a VSL?
Yes. BuildBob commissioned a founder-led VSL and product demo as one US$4,000 project. Product UI, animation and extra formats should be scoped explicitly because they change the workload.
How much does a VSL cost, and how long does it take?
One Trueframe VSL and product-demo project cost US$4,000. Public full-service offers reviewed in August 2026 start around US$2,999 to US$5,000, but the formats and inclusions differ. Trueframe provides a project-specific quote and timeline after reviewing the script, filming and visual scope.
How long should a B2B VSL be?
Length follows the buyer's awareness and the job of the page. Trueframe's recent founder-led B2B projects have been roughly three to five minutes. A personalised outbound video may be shorter, while a cold direct-response VSL can be much longer.
How should a VSL be measured?
Track player load, play rate, watch depth, CTA clicks, forms or bookings, qualified opportunities and revenue. Keep sourced and influenced pipeline separate, and avoid treating a view or CTA load as proof of a sale.
